I was literally just walking home and all of a sudden this woman calls out to me. I stop and she comes over and asks me if I am a BYUH student. I tell her yes I am (because its the truth) and she invites me into her house because she is starting up a second hand store using the different things that her daughter used to own. SO I walked in, and seriously this is an awesome place!! She had an old fashioned radio playing some cool music and the room was set up in an amazing way. I was impressed, to say the least. Looking around, I saw this amazing looking hat, but it had a rotten girly looking ribbon. But then I turned and saw it. My hat. I knew it was meant to be mine the moment I laid eyes on it. I went to it, trying not to show my excitement, less the lady charge me too much and I was not able to buy it. I held it, then noticed the body mirror and quickly went over to look at myself. Holding my breathe, I put the hat on, slowly letting my breathe out. It fit perfectly. It was stylish. it was lovely. It was already mine. I put it back, certain she would ask a lot for it. But then I decided that I would pay at least 10 bucks for it, which was about how much I had with me at the time. When I casually asked the lady how much it was, she went back to her daughter of more info. my heart started racing. How much would she ask? I didn't know. When she came back she told me that it was 4 dollars. Trying to keep my excitement and surprise form my face, I listened as she said that the hat was stained, and showed me the dark makeup stain on the inside of the brim of the hat. I tried not to smile, knowing that this was the best of luck. I was going to get a hat!! And as I took it home, I couldn't help the smile come onto my face to show the joy of being there. It was amazing. My hat.
